scenography drift festival 2024.

For Drift Festival 2024 we got asked to do the scenography for their Elektra and NYMA stage. We used different materials to build towers to reference the industrial backdrop of the Elektra stage. For NYMA we built our own mirror instalation. And used a specific type of cloth to capture the light during the day.

This was a collaborative work with Cas Aerts & Luuk van der Heijden.

For the closing party of Club Poing we got asked to do thescenography for two stages; their main area and their arcade hall. For the. With a nod to the past and a vision for the future, the lights transported us through time, blending familiar fixtures of Club Poing with fresh formations. From warm euphoria to raw, eclectic vibes, the space evolved over 56 hours.

As an initial plan for my graduation I wanted to make a monolith of LED bars. As the year was progressing i started to make some LED fixtures, trying to perfect the shape. We landend on an aluminum frame with 6 sleeves across all sides. Frank Doornbos joined and is responsible for the PCB and technical layout. It is currently at display at HKU Exposure Media 2024.

During and after my internship at Lumus Instruments I made some stage designs using their bars. These designs were made in Blender and were used at Liquicity Festival, Strafwerk Festival ADE and Lofi Amsterdam.

Two years ago I started my career as a VJ. Right now I’m a VJ for Joost Klein, Ki/Ki, Goldband, Bente & more. As a VJ I make and display content on a screen for the artist. My position as a VJ is to use the screen as more than a way to display visuals. I like to see the screen as an extention of the show and artist.
